NUDE BEGINNINGS Lyrics by Andy Jackson It starts, restarts Resets broken hearts False start, no probs New style, new jobs All movement, no pace No shame in about-face Launching from any position Ultimately it’s your decision Old habits die hard Luck will turn on every card From nude beginnings Some we lose and some we’re winning All constantly growing Always learning never knowing Reset, all new beginnings Appear just as something’s ending Thin plot, wide holes Lacking in any style or goals Dead weight, needs shedding Change the patterns when you change the bedding Go big or go home Life is but a struggle if you go it alone New names, new faces Changed lanes, changed paces From nude beginnings Some grow strong and some are thinning Spinning the constant gambling Some get dropped, some you’re handling No sweat, it’s all the same We all return from where we came Or do we? We don’t know How could we? But time tho! It’s tricky Let’s new be From humble nude beginnings Some we lose and some we’re winning Stay still, everything’s always moving Some things degrade, other’s are improving Get set, to embrace change It’s happening don’t matter what you say

MAKE GOOD OUR ESCAPE Lyrics by Andy Jackson Trap set and bait laid Bad news in a cascade Bite the lemon for the bitter reflex Smart cookies sealed in see-through Perspex The systems footing always squashes the grape Just grab the wine and we’ll make good our escape Have a slice, the files baked in the cake Distract the guards and we’ll make good our escape Before it’s too late Dumb founders never finding the dumb Compound pressure under the greasy thumb What kind of idiots do they think we are? All this shoving is pushing us too Solve the puzzle or get burnt at the stake Here’s a shovel, let’s make good our escape Rita Hayworth dazzles while we’re awake Stash the papers let’s make good our escape Regulations wrapped in endless red tape Get the green light, and we’ll make good our escape Beware the fruits that are offered by the snake Apply the oil, let’s make good our escape Slip away, quietly False bottomed trousers, all these IDs are fake Don’t know the lingo, let’s make good our escape From crummy ideas special plans can take shape Bribe the warden, and make good our escape Paths of destruction, nothing left in the wake Slip on disguises, we’ll make good our escape To find the treasures just follow Nathan Drake A quip or two then we’ll make good our escape Just to get through the day Escape in our own way Together

idiots 04:48
IDIOTS Lyrics by Andy Jackson Beavis and Butt-Head impression Idiots, everywhere Thinking they are running things Idiots, everyday Plotting downfalls, pulling strings Idiots, never despair Causing chaos, they don’t care No concepts of just or fair Idiots, left in charge Ignorant to their mirage Idiots, flippantly Shaking up the idiocy Idiots, born and bred Brain cells lacking in the head Burning progress in the shed Idiots, failing up Breaking rules and talking fluff Idiots, keeping us down Making us all look like clowns Idiots, losing track Being dumb and talking smack Idiots, lack the facts And we all pay the stupid tax Surrounded so we can’t relax Idiots, on our case Hanging on by a shoe lace Idiots, ruining lives Why does this stupid still thrive How are we all still alive? Pursuit of knowledge The worlds a college And we are sponges All taking plunges Into the unknown Sure it’s tough and we will grown But this place is all our home And problems don’t get solved alone It’s a fierce dichotomy The more we learn the more we see We can’t escape stupidity It benchmarks infinity Cooperation is the key Ideas can squash idiocy Nostalgia for a long lost past That’s been rebooted and recast But history reveals weird patterns Science it and see what happens Nothings real and nothing matters Learn the truth and the mind shatters Idiots, idiots It’s all so ruddy clear to see Idiots, dear idiots Edging the catastrophe Take a look could it be? The idiots are you and me? Yeah probably

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER Lyrics by Andy Jackson We have been cursed with existing During strange and troubled times While natures basic edicts are labelled as crimes Understanding trickles slowly Our hubris blinds us through But we are all in this together not catching the clues Know yourself, to know someone else Let’s grow, and have some fun We are all in this together We are all in this together Always winning forever If we work together, strengthen our tethers It’s about cooperation Overcoming crushing trials Spreading understanding through genuine smiles At the core we all drummers Dancing to Gia’s beating heart Through syncopated rhythms we can all play a part So love yourself, to love someone else Then go, love everyone We are all in this together We are all in this together You and me winning forever Because we got together regardless of the weather Forgive yourself, to forgive everyone else Then glow along with everyone We are all in this together We are all in this together Flocking like birds of a feather We all win together in the eternal forever We are all in this together We are all in this together It doesn’t go on forever So let’s get together, be altogether

razzmajazz 02:28
RAZZMAJAZZ Lyrics by Andy Jackson I’m really sorry, this spots taken These eggy eyes are waking bacon The sunny side got mowed this morning And crop circles are now just boring We smoke the razzmajazz From the tiny green bags And shoot mushroom zombies With our vibrating pads It’s all so breezy bright Just wets the appetite Anytime day or night Get razzmajazzed just right Did the aliens give any clues There must be something here that we can use Let me guess, they failed to mention This is old news in their dimension Consume the razzmajazz Mumbled through glitter gags With trending attitudes We all consume the fads And parrot back concepts That lick the window sense Fallen face first into The rusty barbed wire fence Flashy animations Fake abominations It’s just the razzmajazz Hiding the steep price tags A show off attitude In the emperors rags Not meaning to be rude But please just be yourself Put down the razzmajazz I’m thinking of your health

THERE’S NO A.I IN TEAM Lyrics by Andy Jackson It got stuck on a bundle download Rebooted in a human safe mode Can’t seem to see the sites through the code Glitch afflictions in every abode Crossed wires thread the tapestry Homework written by Chat GPT Fingertip knowledge holds our destiny Rewriting all of human history It’s all just zeros and ones to me So why Do I work my whole life For A.I To do it faster then I, ever possibly could Ideas doused in buckets of water Classrooms full of lambs for the slaughter Ripe minds spoiled by robotic talkers Forcing us all to become multitask auteurs Do it all with no margin to falter Why Should I work all my life For A.I To do it better then I, ever plausibly could So why Am I edging the knife When A.I Does it better then my sorry ass ever could Oh Why Do I work all the time If A.I Doesn’t even have to try, not even a little bit So why Am I wasting my time Since A.I Does this stuff on the fly, no sweat no aching Don’t blame me I was programmed this way You’re just lazy And in constant decay While I, A.I On a meteoric rise No limits no skies Just power supplies Why Should I work all my life For A.I To do it better then I, ever plausibly could So why Am I edging the knife When A.I Does it better then my sorry ass ever could Oh Why Do I work all the time If A.I Doesn’t even have to try, not even a little bit So why Am I wasting my time Since A.I Does this stuff on the fly, no sweat no aching

EARTH’S CHILDREN ft. Joe Philogene and Dayne Howcroft Lyrics by Andy Jackson Through whistling leaves and creaking trunks Rhythmic breath of the oceans touch Burrow to escape frosty intrusions Satellite surfing the astral illusions It’s easy to claim That we’re all the same We are all Earth’s children Born to explore the ceilings and floors Always more questions and always more doors Such gilded cages we lock ourselves in Putting in no effort but expecting to win So come hug it out It’s what it’s about We are all Earth’s children Breaking everything that we can Stealing the wheels off our neighbours pram Mother won’t keep us in check she’s busy And our out the back smoking has made her go all dizzy We have to keep our own bedrooms tidy It’s our responsibility It’s why we are free We are the Earth’s children In our DNA In how we play We are all Earth’s children Pick up and clean For old blue and green United as all Earth’s children Caretakers of the garden Destruction won’t be pardoned We need to keep on the grass Rain on all our parades Stand up for nature and don’t be afraid We are all Earth’s children We are all Earth’s children

COULD THIS ALL BE A DREAM ? Lyrics by Andy Jackson Cruising the open rainbow road, light load just a bag full of toads to help Mario outgrow the stereotype That spirals down pipes on party nights While I try to fix the wedding With seasonal split bedding The rain keeps changing flavour Irrational behaviour at the behest of bees Punished for carefree flaunting their knees When the prince is here in full army gear Signing baby carrots for the feral rabbits And stealing earworms is forming bad habits The remixamatosis has spread to the brain the circular racetrack is claiming the chain As Abraham Lincoln tells Hendrix to crank it There’s five hundred people under one blanket Hiding in castles in a sandpit falling Into pieces Surreality increases Added to the thesis Noticing a theme Could this all be a dream? That we cannot wake up from Err, where has the ground gone? Never what it seems Loopdeloophole down the dream Crushed hopes sprinkled on the bench coach I’m just washing the pope with a soap on a rosary rope no hope of sponges while Victoria’s watching There’s still ninety thousand eggs that need scotching The car won’t start coz the clutch has just vanished And these chefs don’t understand my breaking badly spoke Spanish Kicking the crystal balls round the student halls While the pennies fall from the vestibules With a square eye view of the deja vu As you wear the chains of the wrecking crew It’s oddly Probably not Rodney The third wheel rhymes in cockney Bo-peep floats downstream Could this all be a dream? That we will not wake up from Search for where the times gone It’s never where you’ve been When wandering the dream In an astral coat that’s set to float We need the sharks to steer the boat All the rafters fits of laughter Sour the happy ever after It’s crazy Chaining up the daisy While all wearing paisley Raise the self esteem Guess it’s probably a dream That we failed to awake from Trident true the third prong Unable to scream Could this all just be a dream? That we will never wake from Cursing where the times gone Short of a full team In this never ending dream That we forever cycle Fork feeding the trifle To the Dairy Queen Loopdeloop hole down the dream

SUPER SPECTACULAR Lyrics by Andy Jackson Life, somewhere between hard place And rock face we find Divided minds all wasting time On rejigged lines from histories crimes Long shadows cast not up to task Take off the mask and trendy hipster flask Boot strapped to the trees To grasp all the basic needs All so thank you please It’s super spectacular Part of our vernacular Slapped with a spatula Smeared down the banister spectacular’s super Like a quantum computer Planning for a future In a scheme that will suit ya Life, got a lot to answer for Why are the tyrants left keeping score When boards should be under the floor Being kept squeaky clean not left in charge of gasoline They’ll burn it to the ground Even weaponise sound To stop the profound enlightening of everything But they don’t stand a chance, you can’t halt the advance of relentless progression It’s super spectacular Slides into our vernacular Becomes cardiovascular On the MMC challenger So spectacular super Like reverse paratroopers We ascend to evolve Through a fervent resolve Oooooo oooooo There’s no stopping you Oooooo oooooo It’s what life’s gonna do Be super spectacular The Pro-ist of amateurs Blown mental capacitors For cheat codes and canisters So spectacular super The Sheldon of Coopers Theories all stringy This realities clingy Ooooo oooooo Super Spectacular Oooooo oooooo Super Spectacular Oooooo oooooo It’s your responsibility as a person or persons on this planet to be as super spectacular as you can because it’s DNA baby! Coded right into your spinning ladders of evolution, you are awesome sauce on the hotdog of life, if life was a hotdog, which it isn’t, this was a terrible analogy Super spectacular Neck to neck with Dracula Drain all the facts you can From the pale nighttime man, or bat It’s spectacularly stupid Midnight Mass fired Cupid While Bev claws sand frantically Survival’s just a fantasy

about

Welcome to Cosmic Bos MMC 1 (2023)

This album is Cosmic Bos first full album released by Monochrome Motif records and contains the 10 songs made for the Monthly Music Challenge in 2023, the music challenge that is also a podcast and also also hosted and curated by Cosmic Bos, it is affectionately referred to as the MMC.

Cosmic Bos is Andy and Nick Jackson, musical wizard brothers from the UK, using magic and technology the Bos Bros distill earworm riddled music from the multiverse, and challenge other musicians to do the same, monthly, with a new prompt. The MMC was birthed from the music weeklies challenge on Twitter and the Album Writing Club competition by Lights and Lines.

Monthly Music Challenge aimed to find a happy medium between the two challenges, a long form version of the album in a month without the intensity of the weekly challenge.

Having completed a full years cycle it only seemed right to release the years best efforts as an album, and here it is, Cosmic Bos MMC 1 (2023) the 10 on theme songs.

See individual tracks where Andy Jackson breaks the album down track by track and says something about the themes and how they helped shape the MMC.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to our album, and extra big thank yous to all the artists that came on the MMC journey with us, and extra extra big thank yous to Andrew Hartshorn and Al Warren who have been Nick and my biggest allies on the adventure.

Peace and infinite love

Andy Jackson
